Low Contact
It's a difficult thing to do, but I decided to go low-contact with much of my immediate family.
If the only reason you keep someone around is because they share DNA with you, then is that really a good reason?
What if I never grew up with them? What if I was adopted?
I think it is difficult because I find myself wishing things were different when I have met people out in the world, who have loving families.
